WVU Tech Sweeps Carlow Doubleheader

WOAY – WVU Tech basketball began the final week of its regular season by sweeping a conference opponent in Carlow University on Tuesday.

The Golden Bear men defeated the Celtics 107-87, their highest point total of the year and the fourth time they’ve topped 100 points. Thomas Collins led WVU Tech with 25 points, as six players reached double figures. The Golden Bears have now won four of their last five entering the season finale.

WVU Tech’s women were also winners Tuesday, defeating the Celtics 66-43. Brittney and Whittney Justice each scored 10 points, while eight additional players recorded points. The Lady Golden Bears have now won six of their last seven.

WVU Tech closes the regular season Saturday when they host Point Park in Beckley.
