WV Senate passes bill to allow nonpartisan elections for prosecuting attorneys

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Senate passed a bill on Wednesday that would allow nonpartisan elections of county prosecuting attorneys.

SB 204, passed the Senate in a 30 to 4 vote.  The bill would change partisan elections of county prosecuting attorneys to nonpartisan.

The bill now heads to the House of Delegates.
