Beckley, WV (WOAY) – Check out highlights from Thursday’s Class AAA Region 3 Section 2 volleyball championship between Woodrow Wilson & Greenbrier East!
Both teams advanced to the final after semifinal wins against Princeton and Riverside, respectively. Greenbrier East took the opening game 26-24 after jumping out to an early lead, but Woodrow Wilson would answer by taking the second game 25-19. After the Lady Flying Eagles won a close third game 25-22, they would maintain momentum and win the fourth game 25-13. Bryce Knapp led Woodrow Wilson with 22 kills, while Adrian Coalson contributed 14 kills and Kacee Fansler had 53 assists.
Both Woodrow Wilson and Greenbrier East advance to the Region 3 tournament Saturday in Beckley. The Lady Flying Eagles will play George Washington in the semifinals, while the Lady Spartans will face St. Albans.
