Woman Arrested for Financial Exploitation Of An Elderly Person


FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY)- A Beckley woman is in jail today on a Fayette County felony arrest. Sheriff Mike Fridley released the following information regarding this incident.


Cinda Meador, 24 of Beckley, was arrested this morning on a felony charge of Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person in Fayette County.


Meador has allegedly taken approximately $5,000 from her father’s account that is designated for his care at an Oak Hill assisted living facility. The alleged thefts had taken place over a 6 month period.


Meador turned herself into deputies this morning, and was unable to post the $10,000 bond set by the Fayette County Magistrate’s Office. She subsequently was remanded to jail.
