Williams Sisters Face off in the Greenbrier Champions Tennis Classic

White Sulpher Springs, WV (WOAY) – The first day of the Greenbrier Champions Tennis Classic took place Saturday at the Greenbrier Tennis Center in front of a packed house. Of course, the big crowds were in town to watch the Williams Sisters face off head to head in the exhibition match from the first time since the US Open.

Venus Williams would be the one who came away victorious 6-3 2-6 10-8 over her sister Serena. While in the Men’s match Kevin Anderson got the best of Marcos Baghdatis 5-7 6-3 10-4 for his exhibition win.

Sunday, the legends match will take place between Carlos Moya and Marat Safin at 11 a.m. and the tennis weekend will win with the mixed doubled match at 1 p.m. in Kevin Anderson/Serena Williams vs. Marcos Baghdatis/Venus Williams.
