West Virginia Lottery has named a new director


CHARLESTON, WV (AP)- West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice has appointed John Myers as state lottery director.

Justice announced Myers’ appointment Tuesday.

Lottery director Alan Larrick resigned last month just after the launch of sports gaming at the Hollywood Casino in Charles Town.

Myers has been secretary of administration under Justice.


He worked at the West Virginia Lottery from 2008 to 2017 and was acting director from 2015 to 2017.


He also served as manager of corporate administration for Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Buffalo.

Her love for journalism started in high school when she was selected as a Bright House Varsity Reporter as well as the school anchor. When Daniella is not working, you can find her exploring West Virginia especially the Greenbrier and engaging with community members. As a morning anchor, Daniella loves putting a smile on viewers faces in the morning and informing them of community events.
