West Virginia Falls at TCU 82-73

WOAY – West Virginia men’s basketball has now lost three of its last four after dropping a Big 12 contest, 82-73, at TCU Monday night.

The Mountaineers and Horned Frogs alternated the lead mutliple times in the first half, before the hosts took the lead in the final minute before intermission. In the second half, that lead would grow to 20 points, and while WVU was able to make several dents, they were not able to overcome TCU’s quick start to the second half.

All five Mountaineer starters reached double figures, led by Jevon Carter’s 16 points. Sagaba Konate came close to a double-double with 14 points and eight rebounds, but only two players scored off the bench for WVU – Teddy Allen & James “Beetle” Bolden. Alex Robinson led TCU with 17 points.

West Virginia returns to Morgantown Saturday, when they host Kentucky as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
