Two Nicholas County People In Jail For Providing A 14 Year Old With Drugs & Alcohol


SUMMERSVILLE, WV (WOAY) – Two people were arrested after they allegedly provided a juvenile alcohol and pills.

According to a criminal complaint,  police were called to the Super 8 in Summersville on Sunday, September 2, 2018. Albert Barnett, 33, created serious risk of bodily injury of a 14-year-old female by providing her with vodka and allowing her to snort pills while at the motel.  Barnett made physical and unwanted contact to his girlfriend, Bobby Myles, which placed the juvenile in immediate violent injury.

Barnett also destroyed a lamp and telephone, valued at 1,000 dollars.

Barnett and Myles were charged with domestic assault, domestic battery, destruction of property and child neglect.  They are both currently out on bond.
