WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WOAY) – A pair of drug arrests are made in Greenbrier County when White Sulphur Springs Police Officers responded to an overdose call. The arrests were made on separate days.
On Sunday, Nov 4, 2018 officers responded to the call at a local residence. A female identified as Tracey Kaye Mayo, 56, of White Sulphur Springs, was misusing prescription medication and upon investigation a small amount of Methamphetamine and Marijuana was found in the female’s bag.
Mayo was arrested for 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and released on a $1,000 bond. Also during the investigation consent was given to search the residence and during that search officers found 26 grams of an undetermined crystal substance packaged for distribution, a little over 3.27g of wild mushrooms (Psilocybin), 200 plastic baggies for packaging, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
The investigation was conducted by Sgt. S. Morris, Cpl. J. Williamson, Ptlm. J. Kirk, and Ptlm. J Brooks. Warrants were obtained for Paula Kay Butts, 53, of White Sulphur Springs for 1 count of Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Counterfeit Substance and 1 count of Possession with the Intent to Deliver.
On Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, officers executed the warrants on Butts at her residence in White Sulphur Springs. She was released on $15,000 bond. The identification of the substance found from the residence is pending analyzation from the WVSP Forensic Lab.
