PRINCETON, WV (WOAY)- A non-profit known for helping the less fortunate, is now in dire need and looking for the communities help.

The shelves at the Salvation Army food pantry are nearly empty.

The immediate need is making sure those that need a meal are able to get one.

The salvation army is looking for baby formula,  canned foods along with dry and non-perishable items.

The non-profit is also looking for volunteers to help make a difference,

“Since we’re a non profit and because we really rely on the generosity and the kindness of other folks in the community those who are more fortunate who can help, that they step up and they do,” said Lieutenant Dennis Smith with the Princeton Salvation Army.

Donations are needed at all food pantry’s in the area,  but the Salvation Army in Princeton is hoping you can help their situation.

The Salvation Army is located on Princeton Ave and donations are welcome at any time.
