Tennessee Boy With Heart Condition Gets 4,000 Birthday Cards From Strangers Before Dying

PARIS, TENN. (WFTS)- A Tennessee boy who asked for cards to mark a miracle birthday and told he had just five to 10 years to live has passed away.

Kaiden, who was diagnosed with idiopathic hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition in which the heart muscle becomes abnormally thick, and heart failure as a baby, was told he had five to 10 years to live.

To mark Kaiden’s last birthday, he asked for birthday cards from every state.

The nation was touched by his story and strangers sent more than 4,000 birthday cards to the Paris, Tennessee, boy.

“His last birthday on Earth was amazing because of everyone that helped make his wish come true,” Kaiden’s mother Rachel Ann Houston said.

People around the world are invited to remember Kaiden with the candle lighting. For more information and updates, follow the Project Hope For Kaiden page on Facebook.
