Good Sunday evening, snow showers are falling now and will pick up in intensity through the overnight hours. Some locations have picked up a couple of inches while others haven’t picked up anything. Moderate to heavy snow bands will set up through the overnight hours and that is when most of us will see our accumulations pile up. I still think when all is said in done by Monday afternoon, most places will have picked up 1-3” in locations below 2500 feet, a general 3-6” above 2500 feet to 3500 feet, and above 3500 feet, expect 6-8”. Winds will be blustery out of the west around 5-15, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Overnight lows will be in the teens and highs on Monday will be in the mid and upper 20’s. Watch out for black ice and snow covered roads in spots. Another system moves in for Tuesday but most of us will see clouds with a chance of a shower or snow shower. In the high elevations, you can expect snow showers. Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 40’s. A cold front will move in on Tuesday afternoon and bring much colder weather for the middle and end to the work week. We stay mostly dry for the week, come Wednesday. Another system looks to move in for Sunday, but models are not agreement on being a snow event or a mix event. We will continue to monitor it through the week.
