BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A man who state police were searching for after they say he failed to register as a sex offender has been caught.
Lacy Short was arrested Thursday and was taken to the Southern Regional Jail.
Troopers say Short was also wanted for running from law enforcement, and illegal possession of wildlife.
BECKLEY– State Police need your help in locating a wanted sex offender in Raleigh County.
Lacy Short is a registered sex offender in Raleigh County, who is currently wanted for two counts of failure to register as a sex offender, one count of fleeing on foot from law enforcement, and one count illegal possession of wildlife. Mr. Short was supposed to be living at 128 South Heber St. in Beckley, but it was found that he has been staying with his mom at 307 Whitestick St. in Mabscott which places him in violation of his sex offender registry.
