WOAY – Former Marshall tight end Ryan Yurachek has signed with the Oakland Raiders as a free agent fullback. The Myrtle Beach, South Carolina native had initially signed with the New Orleans Saints last month before being released.
Yurachek was a key contributor to the Thundering Herd offense during his four years in Huntington. He totaled 1,354 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns as a tight end, leading the 2017 squad with 10 touchdown catches. He was a captain and first-team All-Conference USA selection in 2017.
This was the second piece of good news on Friday for Marshall athletics, the first being that the school will host the 2018 Conference USA Volleyball Championship in November.
