RALEIGH CO., WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia State Police arrested a man living in Raleigh County for not updating his residential information on the sex offender registry. Ronald Hopkins is facing one count of failing to register as a sex offender.
Hopkins was living in Raleigh County, but he was originally found guilty in Hampton, VA in 1994. That crime involved two counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child who was under 1-year-old.
He now faces jail time in West Virginia if convicted on the new charges.
