CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY)- Secretary of State Mac Warner is reporting a handful of power outages this morning prior to the 6:30am kick-off of the General Election.
It is important for voters to know that a power outage does not permanently close a precinct.
There are 1,759 voting precincts throughout the state.
Warner has a command center set up at the State Capitol to assist county clerks with these types of issues. The WV Department of Homeland Security and the WV National Guard are working with local officials to provide generators for power outages.
Problems at any polling location can be reported to the Secretary of State’s Office at (304) 558-6000.
