Oak Hill Councilwoman now in the running for Fayette County Clerk

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Michelle Holly is now on the democratic ticket for Fayette County Clerk.

Holly currently works as a librarian for the Fayette County Public Library. She also took a seat on Oak Hill’s City Council in July, but because of her interest in fair elections, she’s running for county clerk.

“I’m really excited for this opportunity,” Holly said. “I think as a librarian those skills will transfer pretty directly into this position, so I think that I’ve got a good background in dealing with the types of things that they do here, and I look forward to serving the people of Fayette County.”

Holly says that if she wins, she will have to give up her seat on Oak Hill’s City Council.
