New Pipeline To Bring Hundreds of Jobs To Area

SUMMERSVILLE., WV (WOAY) – Hundreds of jobs are being created thanks to the construction of the pipeline coming through West Virginia.

More than a couple hundred construction workers came to Summersville, to fill out a job application for a 42 ft construction pipeline that will run through West Virginia and bordering states.

Laborers job fair Rep., Henry Neal adds, “Alot of just if I can get on pipeline and to learn a new skill I can make a career out of it, being a construction worker it’s a good paying job and the jobs right now are $26hr with insurance. If you stay around for five years or six years you are going to have a pension.”

Organizers of the job fair say there’s a strong demand for working in the pipeline industry.  Employers are looking to hire several hundred workers over the next couple of weeks.
