MT. HOPE,WV (WOAY) – Bright colors and bold portraits fill a portion of a wall in Mt. Hope as the long awaited mural alongside Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant is complete.
In an effort to promote main street artistry in downtown Mt. Hope, Active SWV teamed up with Harmony for Hope to secure the funding for this project.
It took just under a month to give the building a pop of color, which was painted by Charleston painter Ian Bode. The mural features multiple staple locations throughout the area.
Since it’s completion the restaurant has become quite the attraction.
General Manager, Geoffrey Willaim said, “You know even aside from customers a lot of people passing by will stop in the middle of the road and snap a picture real quick and you’ll see it on Facebook the next day. It draws your eye no matter where you see it from so it has definitely brought its attention.
Giuseppe’s would like to thank the entire community for the continuous support for the last 30 years.
