Athens, WV (WOAY) – Concord women’s basketball returned to Athens Thursday to host the UVa-Wise Lady Cavs.
The visitors established momentum in the first half, leading by seven at intermission. Concord rallied in the second half to make a comeback attempt possible. but UVa-Wise went on to win 97-91.
Alexis Lowery led all scorers with 24 points, while Danielle Catron had 18 points off the bench. She’s averaged better than 20 points in the Lady Lions’ last three contests.
Concord travels to West Virginia State on Saturday afternoon.
