Marshall Football Picked Fourth in Conference USA East

WOAY – Marshall football was picked to finish fourth in Conference USA’s East Division, with the league’s preseason football poll announced on Tuesday.

The Thundering Herd received one first-place vote, as they’re behind Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, and Old Dominion, but ahead of Florida Atlantic, FIU, and Charlotte.

Marshall had one representative on the preseason all-Conference USA Team Monday; senior tight end Ryan Yurachek, one of several key veterans returning for the Herd.

The 2017 season kicks off September 2nd against Miami (OH) in Huntington. Marshall’s first conference game is October 7th at Charlotte.
