Kentucky upsets #7 West Virginia in Morgantown


Morgantown, WV (WOAY) – West Virginia started the Big 12/SEC Challenge offensively strong with an early 10-3 lead. By halftime, the Mountaineers were cruising with a fifteen point lead 48-33. However, the Wildcats came out hungry in the second half trimming the deficit and taking the lead. The game was tied at 74 with one minute to play. Kentucky’s Kenny Knox sealed the win with a three from the corner in the finals seconds of the game.

The Mountaineers let go of a 17 point second half lead as they lose 2 straight. Final score: 83-76.

WVU will play on the road at Iowa State on Wednesday at 7:00
