Mount Clare, WV (video courtesy WDTV) – Karen Rainey of Daniels won her first WVGA Women’s Senior Amateur title Wednesday at Bel Meadow Golf Club in Harrison County.
Rainey posted a two-round score of 157, seven shots ahead of Patricia Maroney & 14-time winner Caroline Ramsey.
Judy Street, also of Daniels, finished fourth with a two-round score of 165. Street was a member of Team USA when they won the 1960 Curtis Cup, the top team event in women’s amateur golf.
