Kansas Rallies to Win at West Virginia

WOAY – After trailing by double digits at halftime, Kansas rallied to win 71-66 at West Virginia Monday night in Morgantown. It’s the Jayhawks’ first win at the WVU Coliseum since January 2013.

The Mountaineers set the tone early, with Sagaba Konate’s early blocked shots leading to points at the other. Konate finished the night with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks. Esa Ahmad, in his second game of the season, added 15 points.

WVU led 41-28 at halftime, but the Jayhawks’ second-half rally consisted of contributions from Svi Mykhailiuk (17 points) and Devonte’ Graham (16 points).

West Virginia will remain in Morgantown Saturday when they host Texas, as they look to break the two-game skid.
