FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) -A special community event is happening this weekend to honor the fallen heroes throughout the nation.
This Memorial Day Huse Memorial Park and Mausoleum will be hosting their 6th annual candlelight vigil.
The event will feature musical selections by local artist and a special candlelight presentation. This will be the first year the event is held at the actual mausoleum instead of the veterans memorial.
Town Superintendent, Bill Lanham told Newswatch, what the community can expect.
“It gives people the opportunity to honor those loved ones, our military veterans of WWII and the Korean War and Vietnam who were losing thousands of lives daily across our great country.”
The memorial will take place this Sunday at 8 p.m. attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair.
Huse Memorial is located at 124 Park Dr in Fayetteville.
