Hepatitis A Cases Growing In Kanawha and Putnam County

KANAWHA & PUTNAM (WOAY)-  More than sixty cases of Hepatitis A in Kanawha and Putnam have been released and are being investigated.

 

 

The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department announced Thursday that two cases are seen to be at Dupont Middle School in Belle West Virginia.

 

The Health Department and Kanawha County Board of Education are working together to help parents understand the precautions that are needed now.

 

People and especially children can get Hepatitis A from close personal contact with someone that already has the illness as well as can receive it from food and fecal matter.
