Meadow Bridge, WV (WOAY) – Greenbrier West volleyball claimed the Class A Region 3 Section 2 championship Wednesday evening with a 26-24, 25-21, 25-23 win against Greater Beckley Christian.
The Lady Cavs rallied from several points down to win the opening game, while jumping out to early leads in both the second and third games. The Lady Crusaders would keep each game close throughout, but Greenbrier West was able to maintain their momentum in the win.

In Section 1, Fayetteville advanced to regional play by winning elimination matches against Webster County and Richwood, and will meet Charleston Catholic for the sectional championship. Due to the double-elimination format, the Lady Pirates will need to beat the Irish twice to win the title.
Fayetteville, Greenbrier West, Greater Beckley, and Charleston Catholic will all play in the regional tournament Saturday.
