LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY) – One man is in jail after he was flagging down cars, cussing drivers, and throwing fruit at them because no one would take him to the Hospital.

According to the Lewisburg Police Department, Shane Austin Holliday, stated he did nothing wrong when they arrived on the scene of Holt Lane.  He was cussing people who refused to take him to the Hospital.

When police asked him why he needed to go to the Hospital, he said, “to get rid of the spirits that are turning my life to shit”.

Holliday got into a fighting stance, balled his fists up to police, and tried to hit the officer.

After being transported, Holliday admitted he had done Suboxone and that’s why he acted the way he did.

Holliday is charged with assault and is being held in the Southern Regional Jail under a 1,500 dollar bond.
