Golden Bears Split Doubleheader With Cincinnati Christian

WOAY – WVU Tech basketball split a doubleheader Thursday night with Cincinnati Christian.

The Lady Golden Bears bounced back from a Tuesday loss to win 69-61 over the Lady Eagles. Brittney Justice led all scorers with 28 points, while Alexandra Combs contributed 19 points. Nine different players scored on the night for WVU Tech.

The Golden Bear men went to overtime in their game, but the Eagles went on to win 110-103. Brandon Shingles led all scorers with 31 points, with Thomas Collins, Michael Scott, and Tamon Scruggs also reaching double figures – Scott and Scruggs both recording double-doubles.

WVU Tech stays in Beckley Saturday for a doubleheader with IU-Kokomo. Both teams are also scheduled to play Bluefield College next week as part of the Big Atlantic Classic.
