Fayette County Interim County Clerk officially files to run

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – At the beginning of the month, Alicia Treadway took over the role of Fayette County Clerk after Kelvin Holiday retired.

On Wednesday, she filed to officially run for the office.

Treadway has been in the clerk’s office for 10 years and says elections are a passion of hers and a continuous learning experience as she hopes to make modern improvements to the office.

“Everything’s always changing,” she said. “Keeping up with new technology and cyber security and physical security on all of our election equipment and making sure all of that stuff goes good, so we’re rocking it over here.”

Treadway is running on the democratic ticket.
