David Witt Ready for First Year With Cavaliers

Charmco, WV (WOAY) – The first week of high school football preseason continued in West Virginia, with Greenbrier West finishing its opening week of practice under first-year head coach David Witt.

Witt succeeds Lewis McClung, but previously coached at James Monroe. He takes over a team that seeks to bounce back from consecutive 3-7 seasons, having made the playoffs in 2014 and the Class A state championship game in 2013.

WOAY’s high school football previews begin on Friday, with the Cavaliers’ preview airing later this month.
