David Sills Named Second Team All-American

WOAY – West Virginia junior wide receiver David Sills was named a Second Team All-American Monday by the Associated Press.

The Wilmington, Delaware native led the nation with 18 touchdowns, with three-touchdown games against East Carolina, Texas Tech, and Baylor. He was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award as the top receiver in the country.

Sills’ WVU teammate, defensive lineman Lamonte McDougle, was named a Freshman All-American by ESPN.com. He tallied 22 tackles – including four for loss – as he started eight games at nose tackle.

Virginia Tech junior linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was named a Third Team All-American by the AP, having garnered Second Team honors from multiple outlets. The Butkus Award Finalist led the Hokies in multiple categories, and is sixth in the ACC in total tackles (102).
