David Bradshaw Wins 2017 WV Open

Sissonville, WV (WOAY) – For the second year in a row and the ninth time overall, David Bradshaw is a West Virginia Open champion.

The Harpers Ferry native posted a third-round 69 to finish the week 12-under par, three strokes better than runner-up Davey Jude. Pat Carter was the low amateur at -8.

Golfers had to navigate a rain delay in the late morning, with play suspended for nearly an hour at Edgewood Country Club, where Bradshaw won his first WV Open title in 2004.

Ben Ramsey of Bluefield was the top area golfer with a 54-hole score of even; he, Landon Perry (Shady Spring), Jeff McGraw (Princeton), and Matt Felber (Bradley) all finished in the top 40, which means automatic qualification to the 2018 Open. Tyler Hillyer of Princeton finished tied for 44th.
