Concord’s Bolte Wins Player of the Week Honors

WOAY – For the third time this season, Concord’s Tommy Bolte is receiving a weekly honor from the Mountain East Conference.

The junior guard from Chillicothe, Ohio, has been named the league’s Co-Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, along with Taiwo Badmus of UVa-Wise.

Bolte averaged 40.5 points in the Mountain Lions’ two games last week, posting 42 in their win over Shepherd and a double-double (39 points, 10 rebounds) in Saturday’s loss to Fairmont State. Against the Falcons, Bolte reached 1,000 points for his college career, the 39th Concord player to do so.

Concord continues its homestand this week with games against Notre Dame College on Thursday and Urbana on Saturday.
