Concord Travels to UVa-Wise Saturday

Athens, WV (WOAY) – Hear from Concord head coach Paul Price ahead of the Mountain Lions’ trip to UVa-Wise Saturday.

Despite the impending weather concerns from Hurricane Florence, the university will close on Thursday, but Price is optimistic that Saturday’s game will go ahead as scheduled.

He anticipates this meeting will be similar to past games against the Highland Cavaliers, which were defense-oriented; Concord won last year 7-0 with the only score coming on an interception being returned for a touchdown.

The Mountain Lions are 1-1 and looking to rebound after last Thursday’s loss to Charleston, while UVa-Wise is 0-2 on the season, having only scored an average of 9.5 points per game.
