Community Education Program

New River Community and Technical College is offering courses this spring that may peak your interest.
The courses being offered through the Community Education Program range from bird watching to sign language. The prices for the classes range from $25 to $100 depending on the class length and the supplies needed.
All ages are invited to attend these classes and some of the more popular classes may surprise you.
“We’ve offered these classes now for about 15 years and some courses cycle back through. Some of the ones that have been surprisingly interesting have been the mushroom growing, any of our cooking classes are always full along with the photography classes always being full and we used to do a belly dancing class and that was always a big hit too,” said Mary Igo the Regional Director of Operations.
