BECKLEY (WOAY) – The Youth Museum in Beckley has officially opened their adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog Exhibit.
“Well when we have an exhibit of this magnitude that is this large then we keep it for as long as we can. So it actually doesn’t leave until September 9th,” said Parks and Recreation Director Leslie Baker.
Adventures with Clifford was inspired by Scholastic Entertainment’s TV Show Clifford the Big Red Dog on PBS kids, so kids are very familiar with this character.
“I think there are almost 80 titles and they are all about Clifford’s Big Ideas and they are really a way to help kids navigate the problems with childhood like play fair and share,” said Leslie.
The exhibit not only has a 9 ft. character of Clifford in the middle of the gallery, but there will also be live appearances made by Clifford himself.
“People should check our Facebook page The Youth Museum of SWV to find out what kind of specials we are having. I know we are working on something with the Pottery Place here in Beckley to do something special so that Clifford can have plenty of bones and so just be looking for some of the events that we are going to plan around Clifford and where Clifford might show up next,” said Leslie.
If you have a Clifford fan make sure and visit the Youth Museum, and the best part of this big adventures is you can have it in less than one tank of gas.
