OAK HILL,WV (WOAY)- Oak Hill city officials are celebrating their geographic program.
This will mark the seventh year the GIS program has been used by city officials and employees from each municipal department.
The website is also open to the public in order to receive information such as complaints, and information on the city’s public utilities, including water, stormwater, and sanitary sewer systems.
Marvin Davis the GIS Coordinator for the city of Oak Hill says this helps inform the public of what’s going on in their community.
“To be able to understand code enforcement, what certain projects and parks updates will be on the councilman agenda, there’s also a wealth of information online about the local government along with other industries,” Davis said.
City leaders are hoping this online platform will engage citizens to come together to solve important issues the community is facing.
