Catching Up With Joe Dean

WOAY – After several years, Joe Dean is back on the sidelines.

The longtime Fayette County football coach is an assistant for Fayetteville this season, as the Pirates prepare for a new campaign.

Dean was previously at Fayetteville in the 1980s, before taking over as head coach at Midland Trail. He resigned in 2014.

He says he’s enjoying his time with the Pirates, many of whom he’s known for many years. They’re coming off a Class A semifinal appearance, and begin the 2017 season August 25th at Wyoming East.
