C. Adam Toney Team of the Week – Valley Boys Basketball

WOAY – Valley is the last remaining unbeaten boys basketball team in Southern West Virginia, as the Greyhounds have picked up where they left off in 2016-17.

Qualifying for the Class A state tournament last March, the team returned many of the key contributors from that squad, and have continued to play at a high level.

The Greyhounds have won two games this week in come-from-behind efforts at the Big Atlantic Classic, defeating Van 69-59, before a 52-50 win over Pocahontas County. Spencer Dean, in particular, had 53 points combined in the two games, including the game-winner against the Warriors.

Valley is scheduled to host Summers County on Friday.
