RAINELLE,WV (WOAY) -The event was used as a time for veterans to come by and grab some much needed items like hygiene kits, clothes and surplus military items.
Also on the premises was a mobile healthcare bus where veterans could come by and get tested or receive medical attention.
Program Coordinator Tracie Hamb shares why the VA keeps having events like this,
“We’ve always had good feedback about the impact its a sense of comradery and togetherness they like to get together with other veterans.”
This marks the 10th year the VA has been holding this event and they’re hopeful that they will be able to continue it for years.
