Shady Spring, WV (WOAY) – Shady Spring hosted PikeView on Tuesday night in a Class AA Region 3 Section 2 semifinal.
With a spot in regionals at stake, both teams made plays to open the game, with the Panthers leading 12-11 after one quarter. However, the Tigers rallied to tie the game at 26 going into halftime, and won 63-51.
Logan Cook led the Tigers with 18 points, while Jon Sawyers contributed 13. Seth Meadows and Tyler Cecil had 13 points each for the Panthers.
Shady Spring visits Bluefield for the sectional championship Thursday; the Tigers won the only regular season meeting 54-49 on January 19.
