WOAY – WVU Tech’s Elisha Boone and Brittney Justice each received Player of the Week honors Monday from the River States Conference.
Boone was named the league’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for a second time this year. The Queens, New York native had double-doubles in the Golden Bears’ wins over Ohio Christian & Indiana University East, averaging 23 points and 14 rebounds. He is currently in the top 10 of the RSC in scoring.
Justice, from Danese, West Virginia, also had two double-doubles as the Lady Golden Bears also recorded wins over Ohio Christian and IU East. Against the Red Wolves, she had 22 points, 19 rebounds, and four steals as she played all 40 minutes.
WVU Tech hosts a doubleheader with Carlow on Tuesday in Beckley.
