WOAY – Concord’s Tommy Bolte and Riley Fitzwater received Player of the Week honors Monday from the Mountain East Conference.
Bolte, a senior from Chillicothe, Ohio, is the league’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, after averaging 33 points in the Mountain Lions’ two wins over Charleston & West Virginia State. Against the Golden Eagles, he recorded a double-double (31 points, 10 assists) as Concord won in overtime. This is the seventh Player of the Week honor of Bolte’s career.
Fitzwater, a sophomore from Glenville, West Virginia, shares Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors with Fairmont State’s Rachel Laskody. Fitzwater recorded the first triple-double in program history with 10 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 blocks in the Lady Lions’ win at West Virginia State.
Concord continues their road trip Wednesday with a doubleheader at Glenville State.
