Bluefield, WV (WOAY) – Bluefield girls basketball defended its Class AA Region 3 Section 2 championship Thursday with a 51-41 win against PikeView.
After trading the lead in the opening quarter, the Beavers established momentum early in the second, and were led by 17 points from Jaisah Smith. Emilee Beggs & Autumn Spangler also reached double digits, while Laken McKinney led PikeView with 12 points.
Bluefield will host Westside in Class AA regionals next week, while PikeView visits Wyoming East.
