WEST VIRGINA (WOAY)- Ice accumulations are expected tonight into Thursday mainly in Virginia and southeastern West Virginia service areas.
Contract crews are moving into locations where damage and outages are most likely.
These areas include Christiansburg, Wytheville and Roanoke in Virginia and Princeton and Beckley in West Virginia; these crews will be in place by this evening and ready to work as needed.
On Thursday, Appalachian Power line crews and assessors will be ready to move in from areas not expected to be impacted including: Huntington, Charleston and Wheeling in West Virginia, as well as Kingsport, Tenn.
Neighboring crews from AEP Ohio and Kentucky Power are also on alert to assist as needed.
