CHARLESTON,WV (WOAY) – For the month of April there was an increase in the amount of businesses created.
According to the Secretary of State Office, new business registrations in West Virginia grew at a 1.06% increase in April.
54 counties reported business registration growth in April throughout the month, overall 844 new businesses were started.
The Mountain State saw a 10.9% growth in business registrations in a 12-month period, led by Jackson County and followed by Summers and Lincoln counties.
Over the last 12 months, Summers County saw 13.62% growth, while Lincoln County saw 13.11% growth.
