ORIGINAL STORY – 8/13/2018:
BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Two men are in jail after sexually abusing a female in the woods for several hours.
According to court documents, a female had just left Sheetz to return to her home at around 10:30 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2018. The victim was approached by Timothy Harris and Michael Ritter, who just came from the area of the Rails to Trails. The victim says Harris had a firearm and Ritter grabbed her and forced her into the woods.
Once in the woods both suspects started to sexually abuse her and have sexual intercourse against her will. Both men took turns sexually assaulting her for a few hours. The victim stated that when she was crying and telling them to stop, they told her to keep crying because they liked it when she cried. They both told the victim that all women deserve this and that all females bring this (rape) on themselves.
The victim was transported to the hospital and both suspects were later arrested.
When being placed into custody, Harris advised officers to get his cigarettes, which contained a small amount of white rock-like substance. The substance tested positive for being cocaine.
Both are charged with sexual abuse and conspiracy to commit a felony. They are both being held in the Southern Regional Jail under a 100,000 dollar bond.
