Beckley.,WV (WOAY) – As spring approaches those in West Virginia will start doing outdoor activities an one local group wants to make sure that children are safe when doing so.
The Brain Injury Group (B.I.G.) of WV passed out over 100 new helmets to local children in order to help prevent brain injuries. Though the group operates as a non-profit, the helmets were donated by a the “New Law Office” in Beckley.
“As the weather get warmer the kids are on their bikes and a lot of parents don’t realize how important and easy it is to get a brain injury an how important it is to keep their kids in helmets,” Brad Anderson Lead B.I.G. advocate adds.
