College Football Player Dies


MARSHALL UNIVERSITY (WOAY)- A Marshall University football player who was paralyzed in a shooting last month has died.

Lawrence Aaron III, 19, was shot on January 1st at a New Year’s Eve Party in Severn, Maryland.

Aaron was a freshman defensive tackle on Marshall Universities football team.


Aaron was paralyzed by a bullet that was lodged in his spine.


The police department said that it was notified that Aaron died just this Thursday from his injuries at Fredrick Memorial Hospital.


Police said homicide detectives are now investigating.
